Our home business was really affected by the Economic recession, we have to cut jobs just to cover up our losses. fortunately, we have already recovered. *

People always hate to talk about when they are laid off. But as it has become every day's news headline since Yahoo started it with cutting 1500 of its task force last year, now a need of platform has been in demand where people can express their selves in words how they are feeling about their company, whey the got laid off was that justified or not.
And every thing they want to tell anonymously. And www.layoffgossip.com is providing you that platform.

Excellent post indeed!

I think we're not as bad as the media wrote... I think media made the situation worsen...

I am trying to consume little less of everything published by medias about recession lately.

Trying to have more positive thinking.

I am not sure if I would call it a recession, but perhaps an economic realignment?

If you look at the construction and housing industry, I would agree that a lot of folks are remodeling. However, many of those would be selling if the economy was in a better state (or if folks were at least able to get loans to buy homes). Remodeling may keep small contractors in business, but the current hold on new expansion that we've experienced in Colorado and around the country really could hurt.

I know several people who worked directly or indirectly with architecture firms that used to have 8o to 150 employees and who have now laid off almost everyone except a few principles. This is not because people don't want to move ahead, but because their clients can't get the money they need to finance their projects.

Folks may still be shopping today, but at some point the lack of credit and financing and new projects (and the resulting unemployment) is going to shake out. Hopefully, we won't have a full blow depression, and hopefully, we'll learn something from our mistakes as a society (and world) when it comes to credit, markets and consumerism, and come out of this stronger and more realistic.

In conclusion, I still am not sure if I'd call it a recession, but whatever it will be called, the economy is hurting. period.

Excellent post and I am so glad to read an alternative to the doom and gloom the media wants us to believe.

I've decided I am not going to participate in any "recession" real or imagined!
