    About A Mama’s Blog

I started A Mama’s Blog in January of 2007.  I started the blog because I wanted a way I could preserve the daily happenings with my boys.

Over the course of a year, I realized that I also wanted my boys to know who I am/was, besides just their mother, during this time in their lives while they are young.  I realized that I know my parents now, as adults, but had no insight into their lives when they were my age, raising their family.

I started writing other topics on A Mama’s Blog, that interest me, and that I am passionate about, mainly information on C-sections, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) births, breastfeeding, and pregnancy and birth issues.  I hope some of what I write on these subjects help others, in their search for information.  Of course I have other subjects that I write about ranging from taking the boys to the mall by myself on a weekday, to car family stickers, to my annual Academy Awards Fashion Review

By not only writing about my boys but also writing about subjects that are important to me (at least important enough at the time I wrote it), I am also preserving some of myself.  I hope one day Ryan and Cole will want to read what I have written not only about their lives during this period of their lives, but also about my life.  I hope this will assist them if they ever want to know more about me-their mother.
